  The Advisor to the Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue, Shaukat Tarin, told the Media that the government does not plan on increasing taxes in the supplementary budget that is to be introduced in the National Assembly after the agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Shaukat Tarin was questioned about the mini-budget by a reporter, to which he replied that there would be no increases in the taxes and only certain exemptions will be withdrawn. He further accused the reporter of creating sensationalism and said there was nothing to be worried about. The advisor also told the media how he had worked to reduce taxes after coming into the government. He told Dawn, “When I came [as finance minister], I had said we will not allow an increase in taxes.   Samsung recently launched the Galaxy A03, only a week after unveiling the Galaxy A03 Core. The latest Galaxy A03 is a successor to the Galaxy A02 announced in early January Design & Display Samsung’s latest smartphone is equipped with a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display and measures 164.2×75.9×9.1mm. The smartphone features a textured back panel, rounded corners, and a flat-edged display with slight bezels. The  Samsung  phone is available in Black, Red, and Blue color variations. Internals & Storage Galaxy A03 is powered by an octa-core 1.6GHz processor, whose name and other details have not been revealed. The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) is all set to launch an open-air drive-in cinema near Beach View Park, Clifton today, on 26 November. Announcing the development, Karachi Administrator, Murtaza Wahab, said that the ‘Sunset Cinema’ will screen three shows of famous movies in six categories, including those based on classic novels and animated films, thrice a week, on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The Karachi Administrator said that citizens will be able to enjoy movies from the safety of their cars while sitting with their family members.   As Pakistan enters the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the Special Economic Zones (SEZs) can play a pivotal role in attracting investment and promoting industrialization, increased market accessibility, and regional connectivity, leading to robust economic growth. A study by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reveals that 22 SEZs have been approved, of which 21 have been notified. Thirteen of the approved SEZs previously existed as Industrial Estates and Industrial Parks, whereas nine SEZs have been approved under CPEC, of which four have been given priority status. The latest available data suggests that the 22 approved SEZs cover more than 15,000 acres. The plot demarcation for 11 SEZs has been completed and more than 3,000 plots have been demarcated so far.   Lahore High Court’s (LHC) Justice Jawad Hassan on Wednesday sought replies from concerned departments on a petition questioning the legality of cryptocurrency. The representatives of the departments were asked to discuss the matter and submit a report at the next hearing. Earlier, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had lodged an FIR against Dr. Muhammad Zafar on allegations of defrauding the public in the name of a so-called investment in cryptocurrency to an amount of over Rs. 260 million. The petitioner’s lawyer stated that the legal status of cryptocurrency in Pakistan and its regulating authority hasn’t been made clear, as of yet. He further contended that there is no law pertaining to dealing with the cases of cryptocurrency in the country and hence, the court has no jurisdiction to deal with the matter.
