Pakistan’s exports of goods and services will exceed $38

Pakistan’s exports of goods and services will exceed $38 billion in the ongoing fiscal year, which is for the first time in the country’s history, projected Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Chief Executive Arif Ahmad Khan.
In a meeting with a delegation of the Council of Economic and Energy Journalists on Wednesday, he said that in the first six months of fiscal year 2021-22, goods shipments to overseas markets rose to $15 billion, posting an increase of 18%.
“African market is the focus of attention as there are vast opportunities for export of different products to the region,” he said. “Rice, pharmaceutical and IT products have a lot of export potential.”
He said that Pakistan had shipped rice worth $2.2 billion and with the introduction of advanced technology in crop cultivation, harvesting and processing, the number could be pushed to $5 billion.

ٹریڈ ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی آف پاکستان (TDAP) کے چیف ایگزیکٹو عارف احمد خان نے پیش گوئی کی ہے کہ رواں مالی سال میں پاکستان کی اشیا اور خدمات کی برآمدات 38 بلین ڈالر سے تجاوز کر جائیں گی، جو کہ ملکی تاریخ میں پہلی بار ہے۔ بدھ کو کونسل آف اکنامک اینڈ انرجی جرنلسٹس کے ایک وفد سے ملاقات میں انہوں نے کہا کہ مالی سال 2021-22 کے پہلے چھ مہینوں میں بیرون ملک منڈیوں کو سامان کی ترسیل 15 بلین ڈالر تک پہنچ گئی، جس میں 18 فیصد کا اضافہ ہوا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ افریقی مارکیٹ توجہ کا مرکز ہے کیونکہ خطے میں مختلف مصنوعات کی برآمد کے وسیع مواقع موجود ہیں۔ "چاول، فارماسیوٹیکل اور آئی ٹی مصنوعات میں برآمدی امکانات بہت زیادہ ہیں۔" انہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستان نے 2.2 بلین ڈالر مالیت کے چاول بھیجے ہیں اور فصل کی کاشت، کٹائی اور پروسیسنگ میں جدید ٹیکنالوجی متعارف کرانے سے یہ تعداد 5 بلین ڈالر تک پہنچ سکتی ہے۔

  A car thief arrested by Anti Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) has admitted to selling vehicles stolen from Karachi in Balochistan’s Quetta and Pishin. According to details, cars worth Rs1.2 million were sold at Rs250,000 in Quetta and Pishin. The Anti Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) arrested a car thief named Ahsan Malik from Karachi while a prime member of the criminal group Aslam Tareen escaped. Ahsan and his partners have been stealing vehicles from Gizri, Defence and Bahadurabad, said AVLC officials. AVLC officials have said that Ahsan used to steal vehicles from Karachi and sent them to Quetta and Pishin while another member of their gang is responsible for selling the stolen vehicles. Stolen vehicles originally worth around Rs1.2m are sold in around Rs250,000 rupees in Pishin and Quetta, they added.
